Fitness Fun Friday: Fact or Fiction?

Here's a great way to start off your Friday. Fact or fiction fitness fun! :)

After turning 30, we lose about one pound of lean muscle mass each year.

Fact! (A depressing one, but a fact all the same.)To combat this, lift weights 2-3 times per week. It will help prevent those shrinking muscles from turning to fat.

There’s a new fad of yoga called Doga, where you practice yoga with your canine counterpart.

Fact! It’s catching on in major cities and consists of classic yoga poses to help you and your pooch align chakras.

The oldest person to even finish a full-length marathon was 80 years old.

Fiction - he was 100! Fauja Singh finished the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in October of 2011. He was born on a farm in India in 1911 and didn’t start training until the age of 89, when he lost his wife and son.
