Fitness Fun Friday

Fitness Sports does a great job keeping runners, swimmers and bikers in the know about all upcoming events. I just looked ahead to April and I can't believe how many there are!

I often find that an upcoming event that I paid for keeps me motivated and about you?

I'd recommend the following:

1) Read through the upcoming events and decide a timeline that you think is realistic for the ones that are the most appealing. For example: can you be ready for a 5K in a month or do you want a few more months to train?
2) Find a buddy! It is motivating and fun to train and participate in events with a partner or group.
3) Set a date - set goals! Once you know your event and your timeline start setting small goals for your training.
4) Train! If you're not sure what those small goals should be or how to go about training - I can help! I also have run in several races with clients to help with motivation, pacing and even to hold water bottles or whatever is needed.
