Racewalkers |
In an attempt to improve my attitude about my limited mobility right now I decided to research power walking and see just how effective it really was as a workout. I found tons and tons of sites talk about power walking, racewalking and fitness walking. I read that racewalking is a competitve sport that takes a lot of training to be fluent with the form necessary to walk at such a brisk speed. I also learned that fitness walking can be just as good of a calorie burn as running if done with good form!
Here's one of the sites that I found very useful. It explains a lot about all 3 types of walking and the correct form necessary to make each effective.
Today is a beautiful day...get out and go for a walk!
