Best Results Don't Come When You Start at a 4!

Eat Better:
"One Pot Wonders" have become my "go to" when it comes to dinner. I literally take a little or a lot of ingredients, throw in them in a pot on low and hope for the best. Some favorites?
  • Shrimp, turkey sausage, spinach and spaghetti sauce 
  • Green beans, red potatoes, corn, ground beef with a little garlic butter and sea salt
  • Chicken, shrimp, zucchini, squash and BBQ sauce
I realize the sauces add sugar but I don't use much, just enough for flavor and to keep things from being dry. What "One Pot Wonders" have you tried???

Move Better:
Medicine balls are cheap and an easy way to diversify your workouts. Here's a favorite of many of my clients...the medicine ball slam! Great for your core, upper body and lower body! Bonus: if you're really upset just go slam the ball around outside...you'll feel much better! :)

 
Amy's Corner:
If you show up to work at a 4 out of 10, whether it be due to lack of sleep, sickness, an annoying co-worker you dread being near...whatever it may be, it's highly unlikely your work will be at a level 10. Make sense? The attitude you show up with directly effects your outcome.
Same thing with your workouts! If you are stressed, tired, cranky, sick...you cannot expect your results to be at a level 10. Therefore, I'd argue that the 23 hours you spend NOT exercising during the day are crucial to meeting your goals! How are you taking care of yourself? How do you avoid or deal with stress? Do you have a night routine that allows you to relax and sleep well? Are you eating well to help fuel your body and stay healthy rather than sick? Do you take a multi-vitamin and fish oil?
A good trainer will push you from a 4 to an 8 but even the best trainer can't get to you a 10 if you start at a 4. Take care of YOU and see better results!
