Breakfast

I just saw a man grab a 5 hr energy drink and 2 donuts at 6 am from the gas station. I can only assume that's his breakfast. Really?!? So often breakfast is skipped, a last second thought (hence the gas station stop) or filled with junk.
Breakfast is your start to the day. It's your change to start your metabolism off on the right foot and to give you the energy you need for all that may come you way. Make it important! Wake up in time to prepare and eat something healthy and filling!
Ideally you want a good mixture of macronutrients: protein, good fat and carbohydrates. All will give you energy and help keep you full until your next meal. Here's some suggestions:

Thomas Light Multigrain English Muffin - with 2 eggs or 3-4 egg whites and salsa/tomato/green pepper/onion; with 1 serving of natural peanut butter; with 1 egg and 1 piece turkey sausage

Kashi Go Lean cereal - 1 serving; I love mine with almond milk

Fresh fruit, turkey bacon (1 serving), 1 slice whole grain toast

Nuts (pecans, cashews, almonds - 1 serving), fresh berries and milk (I prefer almond milk) - make your own ceral with this yummy mix that will stick with you for a long time!

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY FOR A GOOD HEALTHY BREAKFAST??? Add your ideas to comments!
