Things You Should Know Thursday: Sitting May Be Shortening Your Life

Researchers analyzed five large studies following 2 million people throughout the world. They found that people who sat more than three hours a day had life expectancies two years shorter than people who sat for less than three hours a day. Exercise wasn’t a factor.[Why your daily exercise session doesn’t counteract the hours you spend sitting.]
The research also found that people who spend more than two hours a day watching TV lived 1.4 years less than people who watched less than two hours of TV a day.
